English Demonstratives (This, That)
English Demonstratives are “this” and “that”. “This” refers to an object or person that is relatively closer than “that”.
- “These” is the plural of “this”.
- “Those” is the plural of “that”.
Demonstratives can be a Demonstrative Adjective or a Demonstrative Pronoun:
- Demonstrative Adjective: I want that plate.
- Demonstrative Pronoun: I want that.
